Dark Cold Night

Anyone else fearing winter like I am? Right now it just hit me like a sack of potatoes (ha!, I could be vice president) that each new day isn't getting warmer with longer days. In fact I read that each day it gets dark 2 minutes and 33 seconds earlier each night. Can I hear some amens on how much that sucks.
