I will not lose. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, but seriously--- Slate's the best. And they're currently only winning by a slight margin (488 votes vs. the runner up's 486!) Vote. Every 24 hrs. that is.

That's awesome that Slate won!
Although, I a bit surprised by the number of votes. 1128 for the top spot and given that people could vote several times let's do a rough estimate and say that 564 people actually voted for slate. That's not a lot of people. I guess that it was probably a fairly small percentage of listeners who voted. If it was 10% that would say 5,640 people listen to the podcast. If it was 1% it would be 56,400. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think that it would have to be closer to 50,000 for them to make any money off of it. Although maybe since most of the podcasts are readings of already written articles it doesn't take that much effort. Hmm, well I was thinking it through as I wrote this which is why I am rambling and came to no conclusion. Any thoughts?
Anyway, off to listen to the gabfest.
I just paused gabfest to read your blog.... we're living parallel lives. Though I'm having trouble planning the day cause it's too cold to go anywhere unprotected by a heater.
I was also shocked at how few votes there were total. Kind of takes the shine off the metal, but then again, since people don't know about, they'll probably assume it was his HUGE event that they just missed out on.
