First Debate
The first debate of the year happened, and I missed it-- thank goodness for YouTube. So I'm not being cheeky by saying 'first of the year' as in the first in '08-- I mean, remove all those countless hours of "debate" soundbites produced the ridiculous number of group press conferences called debates (I think there was something like 73?). Did you delete them? okay good. Now watch the January 5th ABC New Hampshire debate. Edwards, Obama, Richardson, and Hillary-- back and forth alliances (interesting to see Richardson and Clinton saddle up to each other-- Clinton to Richardson because he's not a threat and Richardson to Hillary because-- cabinet post? VP? They're of a similar generation and Richardson's nauseating need to answer every question with the headlines of his resume complements Hillary's attempt to be the experience candidate. While Obama and Edwards-- young "for change" guys-- tag team on Clinton even though they're #1 AND #2 as Edwards points out) disagreements, some policy, and good television.

It took me a while to find the first half of the last parentheses pair.
