Textcast

A new finding.... Slate has a textcast. WTF is a textcast? Be patient, I'm new with it... it seems like you download it like a regular file, and when you try to listen to it there's no music........ BUUUUUUUT, if you click the center button three times you find that they've given you something to read on your ipod. After searching around, I've only found Slate's textcast, but I'm hoping there's more to come. One issue is that if I continuously scroll, my ipod gets all confused and bounces around irratically, so I have to basically scroll page by page.

Similarly, I saw on digg that you can actually download a current version of Wikipedia directly on your ipod. Only takes 1.7GB. For most people that's nothing, for me, that's half my ipod!

A lot of podcasts have "textcasts", sorta--where when you click 3 times, they show the date of the podcast and some info. I think it's true for the podrunnder podcast.

I like that you're a constant blogger now :)

Is it Friday yet? I live for the weekend.

Slate's is full-on articles.... Anyone find another textcast like this? Jess, does podrunner have interesting stuff to read?

I'd ask you directly, but why not just blog about it?

Kinda like how you could send a message to someone on facebook (or email1) but yet for some reason wall posts exists as well...
