Fortunately my title follows mold of CNN's/FOX's headline strategy: "If you end with a question mark there's no face lost when statement is found untrue?"
But here's my random ramblings (I'm going to take some for myself, thank you very much David!). I love NBC shows. Their Thursday night lineup is amazing, even without Scrubs (*tear, tear* BTW: they've moved to ABC). Sure some of NBC's shows are awful. But for every Chuck there's an Earl, for every Gladiator there's a Hero, and for every flaw in the their Olympics coverage there's juicy drama spewing from Friday Night Lights. I'm totally loyal to NBC. Not that I don't watch other channels, but if my tv was stuck on a channel, I'd hope for NBC (or Comedy Central... or Food Network, but I was talking about the tv that doesn't get the expensive channels).
A couple years ago, I heard CBS was actually #1 in the ratings. The channel of Two and a Half Men, and the multitude of CSIs was way more popular than NBC's shows. Imagine my surprise in hearing this. Seriously. That moment gave me further proof that I am not in the majority. I was again confused by the decisions of my fellow Americans.
Tonight I started to wonder if certain channels appealed more to people of different parties and values. Do people who watch NBC vote more often for Democrats? I heard that CBS, though the ratings leader, pulls in older viewers... so are they more into... older politicians? My guess is no. I bet that CBS = Bush (old voters are less into McCain... some think they themselves couldn't be president so at 72 how could McCain; others are just less radical than he [used to be])... then does ABC = McCain? NBC definitely seems like the Obama channel-- young, more liberal. Heck, it's family with MSNBC-- did you see the lovefest between Olbermann and Matthews over Obama while he gave his speech? It got them kicked out of the anchors chair from now until the election.
Anyway.... I just needed to blog so I kept my space on happyredpigs's friends link. But, if you have any channel/candidate match-ups... comment away!

CBS = 60 Minutes, Survivor = Old people (I love me the Amazing Race, tho)
ABC = Disney = perhaps religious family-types (Palin, McCain, but it's a stretch)
NBC = so cool but sometimes a little off = Obama
Fox = a lot of bull but no real substance (with the exception of Simpsons, FamGuy)
WB/the CW = teen gossip shows nobody takes seriously = Bush
ABC might have been for McCain (no idea on my part) but I doubt they can continue to be pro-Palin for much longer after her interview with Charlie Gibson.
Also, jess, I resent that you say WB/theCW would be pro-Bush. When I actually turn on the tube, er, go to the interweb to watch television, I go to theCW.com!
Otherwise, I have no idea what shows are on... I blame the Gossip Girl advertising all over New York, and NYC is DEFINITELY not pro-Bush.
With that noted, hi eric!
Also, among the young folk in this city, it's really trendy to like Obama.
